*Call to Worship
Leader: In our worship, let us return to God with our whole beings; let us rejoice and be glad!
People: Come, let us respond to one another with love and generosity! In our worship, let us embrace life with open arms and open hearts.
Leader: Come, let us be the people of faith we are called to be. In our worship, let us be responsible to our loving God and vigilant about how we live.
People: Come, let us seek to have a voice even when the world in which we live denies it. God hears us. Let us celebrate.
Leader: We are not the same, yet God desires our communion.
People: We are very different in our approaches to life, yet we were all created by our loving God, and embraced in God’s everlasting arms.
All : In our worship, let us come together. Let us be the family we were created to be. In our worship, let us receive one another and our loving God with thanksgiving and hope.
“Alas! and Did My Savior Bleed” UMH 359
Leader: God of all children, are you waiting for our return?
God of all parents, are you sighing at our frivolous ways?
God of all siblings, are you reaching out to all of us equally?
God of all silent but present people, are you inviting us to
have a voice?
All: God of all, we see you awaiting us, and in our worship, we pick up our tired pace;
we long to please you;
we reach for your embracing arms;
we offer our voices and presence;
and we rejoice in being called together in worship and thanksgiving.
Be with us as we worship, we pray. Amen.

*The Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord:
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. The third day he arose from the dead, he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
